Joe Davis
Despite starting his career working for Marks and Spencer Joe often dreamed of being a proper Christian minister when he grew up. Although this will never happen Joe was officially ordained as a Baptist Minister in 1997.
There was large scale denominational celebration when he eventually settled at Maybridge Community Church (which is not a Baptist church) in the autumn of 2006. Rumours of a ‘bung’ being paid to MCC from the Baptist denomination to ‘take Joe off their hands’ have not been substantiated.
Joe loves surfing, eating, running, meeting new friends, drinking, playing pool, talking about Jesus, eating more, dreaming up new ways of being church and eating! He is indeed blessed to be married to the lovely Rachel and has two fantastic children, Sophie & Mike. Joe sees no need to divert hormones into growing hair.
Oh and he will take you to the excellent local café (the Levant) for a drink. Joe recommends the Moccachino (decaff, skinny, served extra hot!)
